Solid aluminum all the way, so this one should not break like my last one did. Wish they would do other RAM mounts all in full aluminum rather than how some companies use plastic parts that just break on first use when using these on an adventure bike like I did. Do yourself a favor and like this one only buy full aluminum if you can.
